Beacon Food Bank serves those in genuine need of food support on referral throughout the Borough of Havant.

NOTE TO REGULAR GIVERS: Our bank account details have changed from July 2023. If we have not contacted you please can you ring or e-mail us for the new details. Our CAF Donate details have also changed – please use the link opposite.

Thank you to all our regular financial donors! We really appreciate your support. All financial donations are welcome. You can follow the Stewardship (formerly give.net) or CAF Donate links opposite to make a donation with credit or debit card, including the possibility to increase your gift with Gift Aid. If you prefer to give anonymously that’s fine, but we won’t be able to send you an acknowledgement. If you have signed a gift aid form, you are also welcome to ask for an annual report of your giving. Feedback Request: If you have received a hamper from us in the past, we would love to hear from you as to what it meant at the time and hopefully how you are now back on your feet. Why not drop in and tell us or send us an email or a note?

We offer … free food hampers to those in genuine need in Havant Borough

You need to be referred by someone who knows your circumstances and is working with you on an ongoing basis e.g. a social worker, Job Centre advisor, housing officer, Citizen Advice, MIND, SDAS and other charities and church ministers. If you do not have access to the above e.g. you are elderly then a doctor or nurse can refer you. Food hampers are only available for collection from the Meridian Centre by appointment. Just bring your donations along to one of our Donation Points:

The Beacon Lounge on weekdays between 10am and 2pm – situated at the top of the stairs in the Meridian Centre
Asda Superstore, Bedhampton
Tesco Extra, Solent Road, Havant
Waitrose, North Street, Havant
The Co-operative, High Street, Emsworth

We give out hampers all year round as referrals come in but our greatest need of support is at Christmas.

Food items needed:

We also welcome donations of fresh fruit & vegetables so if you are a keen gardener or allotment owner please consider us when you have an excess of produce. Please bring these direct to Beacon Lounge when we are open and do not put them in a supermarket donation point as these are only emptied twice a week so they would not stay fresh. This also applies to any dairy products.

Want to make a money donation instead?

Money is needed to pay for the fresh food we put in each hamper and to cover storage, staff and administration costs. You can give via our Stewardship or CAF Donate pages, send us a cheque made payable to ‘Beacon Food Bank’ or contact us if you would like to donate by BACS.
