Current Sunday Meetings

Although legal Covid-19 restrictions have now been lifted we continue to ensure that our Sunday morning church meetings at The Beacon are a safe place for all to come. For now we are keeping the meetings to about one hour starting at 11am. Different seating areas are available for those who want to socially distance and wear a face covering – and for those who are happy to sit together with a few others. Booking in for Sunday mornings is no longer required but the NHS Track and Trace QR code is available by the main door for those who want to ‘check in’.

Visitors are always welcome and encouraged to feel at home!

You can find recordings from our Sunday morning meetings on the Messages page for those who were unable to attend or would like to listen again.

What will happen on a Sunday morning?

At the moment, our meetings last about one hour and have two main parts:

  1. Praise and Worship; led by our Worship Group. You can find out more about this here.
  2. Preaching; brought by a number of regular speakers and sometimes a visitor from another church.

When we feel it is safer to do so we will return to 90 minute meetings and restore the third part of our meeting:

  • Time for the Body; where we encourage everyone to take part in praying for or blessing one another across the church family. This takes a different form each week.

After the meeting, hot & cold drinks are served in our lounge to make a time to sit down and talk to one another.

For the Children

We want children to feel a full part of our church family so they stay with us during our meeting time. Parents are encouraged to worship with their children ensuring they are safe and supervised.  Tables are provided at the rear of the meeting for families of younger children to sit together.

Hopefully from September, children aged 11 and under will be able to go out into the Small Hall for their own time of teaching and creative activities during the preaching time.
